Andrea Gaye
A painter since childhood, Andrea Gaye
has exhibited extensively in America, in England (Brighton and London) and France
(Paris). Art studies include the Brighton School of Art,
a year of independent study in Paris, France, and twelve years as Assistant to
the renowned Spanish painter/teacher Sebastian Capella. Workshops include Ned
Mueller, Ovanes Berberian and John Asaro.
An avid traveler, Andrea loves to paint finished landscapes en plein air, while
using her camera and quick sketches to capture diverse moments of daily life for
future work in her studio.
Andrea Gaye is an Artist member of the California Art Club and a Signature Member
of the San Diego Portrait Society. She is also a member of the San Diego Museum
of Art Artists Guild, LPAPA, and Jolla Art Association. She is also represented
by Cosmopolitan Gallery in La Jolla, the Santa Ysabel Art Gallery, Richard Danskin
Gallery in Palm Desert, Gallery on Glassell in Orange , Gallerie Amsterdam in
Carmel and Ora Sorensen Gallery in Del Rey Beach, Florida.
Her many corporate commissions include the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club, the
Sea Lodge, several hospitals for the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, the Memphis
Women's Hospital and the new Women's Wing at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla. Her
paintings are in private and corporate collections in the United States, Europe
and Australia.
